Delightful restaurant. Excellent menu and presentation, and all the staff were professional and lovely. Plates were well presented and had plenty of complex flavors. Favorite was the Bresaola paired with Focaccia.
TLDR: Holy cow, this bird is good. The Pheasant is a terrific Cape Cod dining spot. This farm-to-table establishment hits on all the right notes. Let’s start with the food, which is exactly what you hope for with local and farm-raised fare. The flavors are robust, the portions good, and the attention to detail is phenomenal. We shared a bunch of small dishes and one main entree each - and every bite was delicious. Most impressively, though, was that the food tasted fresh, vibrant, and full of love. The atmosphere was very typical of a high end Cape Cod establishment, but we really felt very at home. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and they were great at explaining all of the flavors and the right wines to complement them. The location was very easy to find and had ample parking. All in all, a very good dining experience. We will definitely be back.
amazing upscale - not fussy meal on the cape. all the ingredients were very fresh, they turned simple meats and veggies into gourmet experiences. I strongly recommend the short rib and the cabbage, but the menu is seasonal so I’m sure they’ll be new delicious things if you don’t see these on the menu. the service was kind and attentive, our waiter helped tailor our starters to compliment our entrees. the ambiance is a charming and quaint, it felt like you were in an old timey home, with an excellent chef. we’ll be returning next year when we’re back on the cape.
WHAT A GEM! Drinks, dinner, service and ambiance were impeccable. We had wonderful conversation with the bartender, he offered thoughts on the cocktail program, suggestions for our meal and recommendations for other spots while on the Cape for a long weekend. FINALLY a place that understands that going out to dinner isn't just about the food (which was also AMAZING) but that ambiance and hospitality matter too. Oh, and don't even think about not ordering the CCB23 Crowes Pasture oysters - the smoothest oysters we've ever had! Thanks to the team at The Pheasant - we will be back!
One of the best meals of our lives. Definitely a highlight on the Cape. The clams with fresh sourdough was a palette buster - beyond delicious. The scallop starter was unique. The desserts were out of this world. We sat at the bar and our bartender was wonderful. Informative, friendly, efficient.
Make sure to get the carrots appetizer. Every thing was excellent. So many layers of yumminess!
A wonderful date night, the atmosphere is so beautiful and intimate. We tried 3 of the cocktails and were wow’ed by each of them. The stand outs on the menu were the oysters and the smoked cabbage- this being said it was all so tasty, all choices are good choices here!
Another exceptional dining experience at The Pheasant! I brought my chef husband for his birthday and we had such a nice time (he's hard to please!). The service was exceptional and the food was outstanding! It's hard to be impressed in January on Cape Cod but this restaurant delivers year round, and is especially warm and cozy this time of year! We had a late reservation and were one of the last tables but the staff continued to make us feel welcomed and appreciated. We will be back!
